Xbox 360 was home to some of the all-time best shooters, RPGs, indies, platformers, and adventures. Narrowing down this list was nearly impossible, but after plenty of good-natured debate, here it is: the 25 best Xbox 360 games of all time.
This page gives you direct access to all 450 delisted Xbox 360 titles on the site. This includes retail games that were offered as downloads (Games on Demand) and wholly digital releases (Xbox Live Arcade, Xbox Live Indie Games). Below each title are the companies it relates to. An * in the title denotes a placeholder page that contains basic details.
This page contains a list of co-op games for the Xbox 360. You'll find all of the features available including online, couch, and split-screen play, whether the game has a cooperative campaign or separate co-op modes. Find out the number of co-op players supported and check out ratings of co-op games.
If it was to show that a game can be stretched to widescreen in SD or ED resolutions, then EVERY SINGLE GAME would get a Yes in that column. It is there to show which games have widescreen support written in to them, and fill HD displays at HD resolutions.
The last part of this article, which says that button cheats don't work, is either outdated or untrue. I have many Xbox games running on 360, yet cheats work on every single one of them. Maybe a clarification should be done 3L3CTRIC 33L 01:04, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Are all these games being emulated properly The Xbox 360 page essentially says the the backwards compatibility is wrought with problems. It mentions that some can have better framerates and resolution, but that there were some games that did not function well at all. Maybe someone who owns a 360 can verify this. If so, maybe this should be mentioned on the site so people who come here don't expect flawless emulation. --Thaddius 16:42, 17 August 2006 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Given that PAL50 games are unable to run via the VGA cable on the 360, it would be VERY useful to include an indicator of whether the title includes a PAL60 mode. There is no existing list of PAL60 games online that I can find, but I'm sure a few people and a little bit of time could determine which are compliant. Halo 2, KotOR, Jade Empire and Fable are PAL60 for sure, whereas Halo 1, Half Life 2, Doom 3 and the Halo 2 DLC/update screens aren't. We can start from there. --Walshicus
I found [this document] on PAL-60 games which covers at least some more info not currently shown here. Having just bought a 360 with VGA cable and found the hard way that Ghost Recon 2 does not run in 60Hz mode, I am keen to see this list improved. Agree/Disagree with the addition from this list deepcut 20 February 2007
There's a lot of fundamental changes to the list, including PAL compatability for games not on the MS list (ie Bistro Cupid, which, as far as I'm aware was never released in PAL territories). Can anyone confirm the legitimacy of these changes, or should it be reverted -- Brooza (signing comment Brooza 21:55, 27 February 2007 (UTC))Reply[reply]
I have a question in addtion to I think the answer should be included in the article... the question is if a game is backward compatible on the 360 does that mean that it is also compatible with xbox live. in other words. (like halo) is it possible to play orginal xbox games on the 360 and play someone else online with the same game. I think this would be beneficial to include in some way in the article.
It should also be noted that any GTA games do not support a custom radio soundtrack like the original Xbox version does. Though the station is still there, it will not play any music on the hard drive to my understanding. Ledgo (talk) 17:53, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply[reply]
As best as I can tell, they have cut all support for BC. They haven't had an update in years and you can't even find reference to BC on xbox.com beyond the existing XBox Original downloads. I dobut anything would convince them to start putting out updates again. To be honest, I wish they would just unlock the exist BC and allow us to play \"untested\" games so we can try them out ourselves.Gumbyx84 (talk) 23:43, 13 January 2011 (UTC)Reply[reply]
All the MS links now show file not found and I can not find the list of working games on the MS siteI have updated the help pages I found working. If anyone can find the list of working games on the MS site please add it back.--Sattmaster (talk) 21:28, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Has anyone tested it yet If so, what games do run under it It might be worth updating the article for it, but only if we know which games work and don't work under it and to what extent. General Heed (talk) 02:38, 13 August 2010 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I have just added archive links to one external link on List of Xbox games compatible with Xbox 360. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobotsdeny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
on the compatibility section mentioned was a special transfer kit that uses original xbox memory card to transfer original xbox saves to a 360 with out modding you are definitely not talking about the microsoft hdd transfer kit or datel xstasa or the datel xbox 360 memory unit transfer kit or and action replay or gameshark because you would need a original xbox version which doesn't work on xbox 360 so what are you talking about
I have just modified one external link on List of Xbox games compatible with Xbox 360. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
The Warriors is compatible by the fact that it boots instead of not loading anything, that alone is compatibility, the fact that it freezes at the loading screen doesn't mean it isn't compatible, it means it's unplayable. Just like Def Jam: Fight for NY, it does boot but freezes at the loading screen. So what shouldn't be in this list is the games that doesn't boot at all.
I'm removing the following games below. Gone are those listed as compatible in North America that aren't on that list above. Also gone are the obviously erroneous titles that aren't shown as compatible in any region. There's certainly still vandalism in the Japan and PAL lists, but I don't have official compatibility lists to scan those to confirm my suspicions.
Hi just noting here that the merge of List of Xbox Originals into this article that was discussed at WP:VG has been completed. I also cleaned up the article to remove the tags that had been present for several years and also bring its appearance more in line with List of backward compatible games for Xbox One. I tried to find sources for everything on the page but for some information I was not able to and removed it to clear up the tags. The information I removed due to lack of sources was:
Okay so I have visited this page many times over the years as it has been an excellent resource, and today I find it has essentially been vandalised by the wholesale deletion of vast swathes of invaluable info about which games support different refresh rates, resolutions, regions, detailed info on compatibility issues etc. - all on the spurious grounds that you couldn't find sources This is ridiculous. I would like to see this massive change undone. Elysium44 (talk) 22:53, 15 April 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]
please don;t revert changes as this article needs a update from people that own original xbox games as this article should be getting new information from people instead of old outdated websites from the way back machine as the old xbox site is so long gone and no longer updated anymore Superusergeneric (talk) 20:42, 16 September 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply] 59ce067264
